I could very well be wrong (nobody really has seen how the outlets look like), but my guess is that the side holes exit underneath the middle hole. I believe there's not enough room to neatly place them on one line and keeping the whole ordeal legal.
I am assuming here that the middle hole is the same solution as Red Bull. A straight hole filled with specifically placed vanes:
However, I do think they used a different solution for the side holes. The reason is because the solution with the vanes will basically be limiting flow through your duct. You don't have a lot of options for a middle hole, but you can produce NACA ducts for the side ducts to evade reg. 3.4.1 as there is the space for it:
So the middle hole is more than like to go straight, while the sideholes have to go inwards and either upwards or downwards to get a full clear on the cross sectional rule. Again I can be wrong, but to me that forces a solution like this:
