This is a 500cc sleeve valve two stroke by Suter. ~200hp. Their website is funky so Google is your friend here...

Next up is the Motus V4. Pushrods! (I didn't search to see if this was already posted, sorry.) 110ci displacement, 180 hp & 126 ft*lbs, 8,500rpm redline.

All good, I throw the snark around as well, so what goes around comes around. That was a KTM MotoGP mill. Not sure of the year. I really like the concept of the Motus engine, half a SBC in my eyes. I'm sure Tommy Cookers or J.A.W. know about the sort of crankshafts all these V4s have. Crossplane, flat, something in between. Some sound really great, like you'd expect half a V8 would. I assume the 919 is flat plane.

Yeaah, good question gg, the Motus leans heavily.. on highly-developed NASCAR pushrod tech..
but since way back in the day.. there've been motorcycles operating real sophistications, such as this Norton:

the Motus has a 75 degree crankshaft giving 0 deg, 345 deg, 435 deg, 630 deg firing sequence
for the sound and big bang theme (no such thing as unjustified publicity when it's free ?)
with 2 counterbalance shafts and GDI
designed by Geoff Goddard (veteran ex-Cosworth) and Jim Sracic (did the counterbalancers)
less than $11000

Wow, 3 cam desmo on a Norton?!? I had no idea they went there... Fancy race solution or was this a production item?

Since we are getting our desmo on, I submit the 1989 Ferrari 034/5 3.5L V12 F1 mill. 13,000rpm and 660hp. And desmo, at least in proto form. I'm having a hard time nailing down what's what...

At least Ferrari had the good sense to put the opening and closing lobes on the same shaft - unlike that crazy Norton arrangement - ohhh the phasing issues - makes my head hurt!!!!

Surely that would be the F1 engine that took Surtees to the championship in 1964?

In 1964 Ferrari also used a 1.5L V6 and a 1.5L Flat 12.

Moar desmo!

I was trying to find more info on the Ferrari Tipo 035/5 engine when I stumbled across this Toyota F1 single cylinder development engine with a desmo valve train. Text from the website (https://www.desmodromology.nl/toyota-formula-one/):

Luca Marmorini designed the Ducati like (older generation 4 valve system) desmo for the Toyota Formula one racer. Toyota thought of a V10 desmodromic F1 engine for improving the performances of their engines. In that period (somewhere between 2002 and 2009) all the solutions were tested. They built a single cylinder head for testing and compared its performance with a pneumatic return valve solution. The Desmo showed the same power of the pneumatic solution, but better performance in the mid range, demonstrating the superiority of the desmo system. The desmodromic engine didn’t race due to the risk of a so complex mechanical system. The Toyota race car had already so many problems at that time, so introducing an other uncertain variable was regarded to be a too high risk. Beautiful professional pictures show details like forked (positioned closer in line opposite each other) camfollower fingers and DLC-coated cams and rockers.
