Could be. I don't know too much about that fluid dynamics stuff but from my understanding not much exhaust gas would go through the lower pipe when there is no backpressure as it goes like 90° out of the upper one. (maybe someone who knows more about that stuff could confirm/deny that)
It's an extremely high camber airfoil in the middle, so from different angles it appears differently compared to outer airfoils. Seems a bit thicker as well, but that might be an optical illusion.
The shape itself seems unusual. Hope I'm not falling into the reflection trap.
A realistic point of reference would be the height of the stiffener in the middle. You can see how the height varies from the leading to the trailing edge.
