Since Spain, I actually think Merc is slightly better (0.1 sec ) If we exclude Monaco which is a very special track, out of 6 races Merc had 4 poles. The two Vettel got (Canada and Germany), Hamilton (or his car/luck -canada with the bird in the brake duck, this week his fly over curb+loss of hydrolics) botched it.

Since Spain, I actually think Merc is slightly better (0.1 sec ) If we exclude Monaco which is a very special track, out of 6 races Merc had 4 poles. This sounds like you think that Hamilton can only lose when there are issues.

That last corner could limit the Tag Heuers PU deficit. I think very close, Ferrari 1-2 on Saturday, but a very competitive Redbull on Sunday.

Nearly guaranteed? Are we assuming Merc has packed it in and given up on developing the W09?

Merc had pretty good race pace in Germany. And on the tire management front, Lewis got the Softs to last 42 laps in warm conditions. I think Ferrari's primary strength right now is qualifying. Their race starts are very strong, too.

Ferrari has been extremely reliable as well. Particularly with Vettel.

Never underestimate the package Merc create every year for these two tracks. Furthermore Hamilton is very very good at Monza due to his late braking abilities. Red Bull also create very good aero low DF package every year and they'll be probably very close.
Of course Merc will have a very difficult week end in Singapore, but it should be closer than before as they probably learnt from their issues.

Dont think it’s vital that Vettel wins here but would if he reduced the gap to Hamilton a little it would really set up the rest of the year.

Do expect Ferrari to be very fast at spa, Monza and Singapore.
