i'm hoping for gasly, purely to see how max reacts when he's no longer the young exciting new driver but instead the experienced old hand in a team who has to worry about being shown up by the new guy, what ever happened i suspect how that played out could define max's career.

Gasly would be good at Red Bull, but who is going to fill the seats at TR?

Maybe its time for Red Bull to start the process to sell Toro Rosso. They dont seem to have much coming through in terms of young talent. Dan Ticktum is all they really have and he is a fair way off yet, especially after his incident that had him banned for 2yrs!

I think Brendon Hartley should be sending Danny a big thank you card because this may just rescue his drive for next year if he has any chance at all.

I agree, Gasly would be great along side Max. I'd be willing to bet Gasly will win the points battle with him, imo he's far more mature than Max ever has been.

I think Carlos will have no choice but to return to TR. I hope Hartley can stick around and have a decent season too.

There is a news linking Sainz with McLaren.
I Like to see Gasly at Redbull Hartley to stay one year more at least a half year of 19 season. I see as very good drivers Leclerc, Ocon and Gasly and seeing those at good teams will be exciting

Maybe this is the chance for a Honda junior at Toro Rosso

Does Honda have any super license holding factory drivers? Other than Jensen Button I mean.

Plot twist:

Hartley to RedBull as #2 driver.

Anyone else has too much ego to accept the submissive role.

I know this was intended as a giggle, but it does have its advantages. There has to be a reason they are keeping him on at STR, it is not on his driving ability. If he is a very good development driver, it could well be worth giving him a year to bed the Honda engine.
Max for the headlines, Hartley for the graft.

Nah, bomb him.

Hartley is hardly a bad driver but he has struggled with F1 and its particular foibles - particularly the tyres. He was plenty quick enough in the WEC.

And I thought the tyres was his strong point this year...

Wow, what a surprise. But I think there will be hard times coming for Ricciardo. No more overtaking half of the field when starting from behind. That's more like back to TR for him in my opinion. Also I think he will have a hard time against Hulkenberg.

So who will join Max at RBR? My first guess is Gasly. Sainz will get the offer to drive at TR, if he does not like this, he'll probably be kicked out of F1 or has to search for a seat at at another team.

I somehow dont think Sainz will go back to RedBull. If he does, i think RB will have made him a pretty good offer. I do think that Alonso will leave and Sainz might replace him there.

The rest will be up to what happens at Force India. Ocon might be desireable, Perez for the sponsorship (Williams or Sauber?)...
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II
