IR sensors for tire temp.garyjpaterson wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 20:58Maybe not super on topic, as these seem to be on all cars (but this pic is from the SF71!) - but I'm interested to know what these small 'bumps' are on the floor?
As I said, most cars have had them for quite a while, but I'm not sure what the function is. Are they meant to house something, like a camera, temperature sensor maybe (looks to be pointing towards the rear tyres)?
Whatever they are, does anyone have a clear image of what they look like from the 'opening' side? I'm interested in the SF71 specifically, but I expect its the same for all cars so I'm not too worried from which car any pics come from.

Aha! Thank you very much, very useful for me!subcritical71 wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 21:27IR sensors for tire temp.garyjpaterson wrote: ↑18 Aug 2018, 20:58Maybe not super on topic, as these seem to be on all cars (but this pic is from the SF71!) - but I'm interested to know what these small 'bumps' are on the floor?

And then the actual sensor; https://www.motorsportselectronics.com/ ... 9963231236
Very interesting! Wasn't even mentioned in the article.garyjpaterson wrote: ↑22 Aug 2018, 14:25I think they have it at the rear too:

I don't think the last two points are true-new ICE with better thermodynamic efficiency, new TC and new MGU-H
-comeback of the stacked wastegate solution
-new floor and diffuser based on the one used until Baku (flatter central section)
Why not?
I assume that they'll run the spoon RW and it looked like the stacked wastegate came with an inverted spoon wing which might be too draggy for Spa. There it still a possibility that the new wastegate arrangement is something like a DRD.
Does that mean that Ferrari is gonna introduce Spec 3 at Spa already?
Ok thanks, just curious to understand.MtthsMlw wrote: ↑22 Aug 2018, 18:19I assume that they'll run the spoon RW and it looked like the stacked wastegate came with an inverted spoon wing which might be too draggy for Spa. If it's just for more DF I don't understand why they didn't use it at Hungary.
The diffuser point could be right, I admit.
I hope both is true - more stuff to look at
