With no wheel tether, the car would have just skidded along the ground until it came to a stop after it bounced off the wall.
And the loose wheels would have gone where and hit what (whom)? The driver is in an immensely safe box (safer still with the halo acting to protect his head even when the roll hoop digs in). At worst he gets a few bruises from the inside of the tub. No one else gets hurt by the restrained wheels - about as safe a massive accident as you can have, it seems to me.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Vettel got some tow from Kimi almost the whole lap. Ferrari was practicing this tow strategy for their quali.

BTW I wonder who controls the button of change onboards of different cars. It's getting a little ridiculous the last few races. Almost no onboard of a complete flying lay. Onboard was changed to another car in the middle of a lap, which is very stupid. This Vettel's flying lap was changed to Alonso after he passed the first chicane. Good thing they it changed back before the 2nd chicane.
The direction has been pretty disappointing these past several races. Like when Martin is speaking you can hear the audio of another feed that has only one onboard. You can't see it but you can hear it mixed with the feed you can already see and hear.

Watching GP3 and it’s wet on the S/F straight but dry elsewhere. However lots of horrible big black clouds.

Time will tell. However there is a reason weather people and their predictions are a standing joke.

‘Changeable’ and ‘who knows’ is probably the best prediction we can get.

Sky Sports TV coverage gave lots of praise to the wheel tethers preventing the wheels from going anywhere during Ericcson's crash.

But no one bothered to mention the fact that the car going airborne and flipping is purely from the wheel tethers.

Once the car went sideways, a front wheel dangling around on its tether got under the car and the car "tripped" over itself, effectively, hopping up into the air, at which point it started barrel rolling. Watch the video.

With no wheel tether, the car would have just skidded along the ground until it came to a stop after it bounced off the wall.
Better than wheels going flying and killing marshals.

Because you said so?
because the accuweather site is not on the race track...it is on the general area of monza

where as the other site is the one used by f1 media etc....that is how i got the link
but carry on jumping on people like that

weather is difficult to predict...it may be torrential rain and it may be sunny

Wow...impressive footage. That last picture shows (again) that the halo -although ugly- is an advantage safety wise.
that is not really due to halo, it wasn't meant for this sort of impact, the top of the engine air inlet - called - roll hoop, and the end of the nose of the cockpit - draw a line through these, the helmet is always well below this line, so a slide over not so soft dirt with the rool hoop and cockpit nose poses no danger to the driver

the praise they give to halo here is just so they can justify it's place on the car, nothing else, there were plenty of this sort of accidents before halo era where drivers walked away unharmed, I remember one (not the place and time), when the actual roll hoop was even sheared off on a curb after the car started tumbling and then the car slid some distance in the grass, and still the driver was unharmed

halo is for small stuff or barrier corners not to enter the area below that imaginary line from the cockpit nose to the top of roll hoop, remember that and stop being a media guided sheep
