Forget it anyway, back to Monza, I bet 1 Ferrari man other than Vettel is angry at this result.

Leclerc, this result has hurt his chances massively for a 2019 ferrari seat surely.

Apparently AMuS seems to think Leclerc to Ferrari is a done deal. That would create an interesting dynamic if Kimi is let loose and is way more competitive than expected, especially tomorrow...

Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Fantastic post mate. Thank you for taking the effort and making it. I agree with what you say if the tow is taken out of the equation it would have been very close, but i still feel Kimi's lap was a little better.

As you have the telemetry for all the cars can say how Hamilton's straight line speed compared to Kimi, and where he was loosing time?

Is it not possible to discuss actual qualifying rather than childish "A did that, B did that, C said that "etc etc
Vettel knew he was giving a tow but he himself said that he made a few mistakes, and these were seen on the onboards. without those mistakes, vettel would possibly have been on pole with kimi just behind. The aim was to get Kimi ahead of Hamilton, and it worked. Vettel was annoyed with himself, and not with Kimi.
Whatever you may think, or speculate on, get over it ! Fanboy comments are not appreciated.

Couple of things:
- Raikkonen definitely gains time as a result of using Vettel's slipstream, very obvious on some parts of the track
- Rai gains 0.06s already before turn 1, his advantage is increased following the next straight after vettel gets a brief oversteer exiting the chicane
- rai quite a bit ahead into second chicane
- Vettel gains lots of time back trough both lesmos, especially lesmo 2
- Rai gains another 1 tenth on back straight, just before braking for ascary. Since he kinda messes up 2nd lesmo's exit this is even more incredible
- Rai faster trough parabolica on a tighter line, kinda what we've seen troughout the weekend, probably a result of vettel missing inside apex

Without slipstream this would have been a matter of thousands between them.

I'll have to revert my previous statement about hamilton suddenly having 10 kmh more on both ferraris. Yes, this was true, but only for first Q3 runs. In their second Q3 run both ferrari cars gained ~8-10 kmh on the main and back straight (putting them level with hamilton and in some places even ahead), whereas mercedes gained nothing on their second run (maybe 1-2 kmh).

If you're getting timeout errors, then there's not much you can do, apart from trying vpn or something. If you're getting slow loading then you can download videos dirrectly from streamable. try different browser first.

Comparing the straight line speed with Vettel, as on his 2nd run hamilton didn't have much of a tow it seems close/equal. On the run to the 1st chicane Vettel is a little quicker, on the run to the 2nd Hamilton is quicker, on the run to ascari Vettel is quicker, and the run to parabolica Hamilton gains a little.

What you said about the modes between both runs makes sense though. At spa on race day Hamilton was quicker in S1 and S3 most of the time despite losing time in the bus stop and 1st hairpin indicating better power. When everything is turned up to the max it's very close but Merc might be able to run higher power setting for longer without a risk to the PU.

The difference on the lap was made in the high speed corners. On both Lesmos and Ascari both Ferraris carry a little higher minimum speed, Hamilton matched them in Parabolica for minimum speed, but the front end didn't have enough to live with that, and he had to get off the throttle for a moment.

I think that is difficult to design. Vettel usually has a fast start and Kimi is relatively cautious goin into turn one. Vettel will most likely get an opportunity in turn one. Could become very interesting in the first chicane.
I don´t know, Sebastian is on the dirty side so I guess Hamilton will have a chance to overtake him. I think he should be defensive and later on, if his pace is better than Kimi´s just overtake him or use the team orders, which are perfectly legal.
