It looks like those parts were glued, look all the white dust around and remainings of the glue around the attachment spot. For me, it looks like it is attached on the existing floor, it is easy to manufacture those small fins and attach them on the floor to observe their effect on the floor sealing. Just my opinion.
You're right. It's probably non raceable 3d printed as well. Surprised no one else went this way.
