Strong result from Gasly, starting P20 and with an old Spec2 PU. Overtaking a few cars. Shame that on the last laps the tires were gone to attack the Sauber.

It was a better race than expected! =D>

Good to get points but one wonders who makes all these ridiculous strategy calls. Gasly on hypersoft was just incomprehensible. He could have gotten P8 had he started on supersoft.

It looked like a few teams were caught out by the tires.

I am not happy. Sauber surpasses us by 3 points. It will be difficult to recover that.
We had many penalties for engine changes. But TR can not complain about Honda, because they have not brought any aero updates.

Summary of the season: Normal to bad.

If both cars have the update in Brazil, then they'll both have the Spec3.1 fitted, it should be a good race. We haven't seen a full bore qualifying from them yet. They've usually just not gone out due to penalties. Hopefully with the new aero, Brendon feeling confident as well with the package, and the PU upgrade. We'll have some good stuff to see still!

Mostly keen for what we'll see at the Abu Dhabi test though !
Will we see an RB14H? 😍

Does anyone know if they've stopped developing this years car early? With the new regulations for next season it wouldn't make sense to develop the current car when you're an engine testbed

Max said he will try the Honda for the first time in winter.
I do not know the winter date in Europe (or Spain). But it must be 2019 haha

TR suffered a blow with the departure of James Key. It's the only sure thing..

I'd assume they are focusing more on the aero regulation changes and better PU integration for next year with their resources.

Spec 3.1 come back to work
Honda wanted a spare unit in the pool just in case but, after being sent away for checks, the US engine has been cleared for use.

Is there any way to calculate for how much races engines from Mexico were used? 0-o
Wish there was some official info :/

I could only find this.

Hartley and Gasly got both a new spec 3.1 engine in Austin. So AFTER Austin:

And Gasly got a new spec 3.1 in Mexico, which he did not use there, only one lap. (His 8e engine)
