F1 is not just the sport. It is also an entertainment business. His return to F1 has a great influence on the image of the sport and Williams team. Additionally in my opinon he showed in the tests that he is still able to drive F1 car quite fast.

You're right, it doesn't, and teams know that better than anyone. The sensible conclusion is that Kubica is not getting a seat just for nostalgia's sake. If Kubica's and Sirotkin's financial backings are unchanged from last year, and there is nothing to suggest that they aren't, it might mean that Williams believe that Kubica overcame the issues he had in last year's Abu Dhabi test.

While Bob doesn't have much experience with the current gen F1 cars, he did drive the big V10's so imo I think he'll do very well. He also had a good rep back in the day for being able to improve his car with quality feedback - I honestly hope this translates to 2019.

Frankly Williams need a quality senior driver to lead the car dev and ground the team and I really hope Bob can deliver this and get the team back to the top half of the grid.

I believe that, Massa was way faster than Stroll last year, and it's not like the difference was shrinking as the year went on.
In the final quarter of the year Massa was still beating him by .7s or something in that range.

It should be a much better line up, though i'm not 100% certain Kubica "still got it".

Yeah, he has been regarded as one of the best if not the best in feedback quality. Probably because he spent more time in the garage than in home since he was a teenager. I like the mixture of experience and youth in Williams lineup. Russel was very very quick in all of his tests and fast adapting, too - so a fierce competition should be on our hands.
