I think it was a solid strategy from Red Bull today to do what they did. Gasly's race would've been too compromised if he had gone through to Q3. Now he has free choice of tyres. Also with people crashing into the barriers, it made sense to send Verstappen out early ahead of the pack to at least put in a lap ahead of anyone crashing. In the end, all those drivers who relied on tows to gain an advantage where at risk of getting their lap destroyed if anyone in front messed up.

Verstappen has driven well so far this weekend to stay out of trouble. He has probably learned from Monaco to leave margin when on a non-crucial lap and push when needed.

We got two races for which Rbr should have outqualified Ferrari but team screwed up . They are second quickest team here they need to show it and change perception that they are still the proverbial third force . The Honda new pu should have been put to good use Max 1st q3 lap was faster than Bottas who went on to take pole as for risk f1 is inherently risky if u are not willing to assume those risks u meet as well stay home

Verstappen had to make 2 attempts at Q1, so then he had only 1 set for Q3, thats why he had 1 attempt

Teams didn't participate in practice 1 and they are running out of tyres the rules are silly yet they are transporting them around the world incurring real costs then not benefiting is plain wasteful

I think it is good. They need to make best points until first big update and be as close as possible to leader in drivers standing . With bigger next update and with development of chassis, they can be very competitve.

It seems that Honda started to play games with FIA .
We will see the justification from Redbull and Honda and if they escaped through the investigation , then it's a certain that liberty media tries to help Honda to catch up with Merc&Fer for guarantee Honda's future in F1 after 2021 and for add some excitement to the championship .

Obviously not, but it does put into question how good his lap actually was. We already knew he got a tow, and now he might have had an ever so slight power advantage too. Is he really closer to Verstappen this weekend? I'm not sure.
