Edit: We can't seem to be close to what we want for a pass at the moment. That Mercedes Engine is giving him an advantage.

Seems like a problem with Gasly's Honda engine. Also Norris pitted and had the Softs. Let's see if that strategy pays out.

Man this Sky commentator is an idiot. VSC reduces your laptime by 40%, so it doesn't matter which part of the track you are on. This is why pitting on VSC is better.

Sainz wanted to stop as well, but Norris had track position so he got right of a "first call".

It was a mistake to put softs on Norris. He doesn't have enough laps to catch. A terrible mistake when we were very close to Perez. We literally gave him the position now.

It was a good call for the team (they only exchange places), I would have even double stacked them. It seems that Norris hit the wall after the stop so is probably carrying damage. Explains why he cannot catch Sainz.
