Still I would like to see the positives of this race. We were best of the rest and both cars hopefully will finish. It clearly shows that we are not clearly 4th by sheer luck so far.

Best of the rest today would be RP, but we're not a million miles off, maybe the difference is the Mercedes engine.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

I would say that we were very close of getting him. That pit stop didn't work. Still I think that RP had the Mercedes Engine to give them an advantage but I'm not worries. Next race in Spain comes the huge upgrade both in chassis and Renault Engine.

The funny thing is Ferrari. All winter we heard how they were the favorites and so far they are getting destroyed. At this point I expect Mclaren to build up their team and get the championship before them.I have no idea how they manage to screw things up that much each year.

The good news are that Mclaren is again 4th with 14 points followed by Racing Point with 13 points and the Order has been restored. We are leading the rest and the upgrades are gonna get us on a clear advantage. I hope at least.

Yeah, there's a lot to be positive for, not the best pit stop calls today, but look at Ferrari, theirs was worse. If our stops were better planned, 6th and 7th could have happened.... But still happy. I'm trusting the upgrades will bring a step forward and Carlos can maybe find the extra mythical 0.2secs the home crowd gives?? :D

In hindsight, SAI should have started on mediums. Could have definitely jumped PER and maybe stayed with LEC. still, flyaway races done... P4 in championship a great result. Now to wait for the Barcelona upgrade

It seems that this late pitstop of Norris costed him best of the rest driver in 6th position.

Now in Spain we are expecting a Huge Upgrade to the chassis that will solve our Front End problems that seems to cost us a lot of time. Also we are expecting an upgrade in the engine power. On the other hand others will bring upgrades also. How much do you predict we might gain compared to the rest?

I doubt Norris would have caught Perez. He was trying for the whole race and couldn't do it. Sainz also had fresher tires than Norris so if he couldn't pass Perez, Norris probably wouldn't as well.

Going for a pitstop in VSC was a good call, pitstop costs you less (9 seconds vs 20 seconds) which would put Norris 8 seconds behind Sainz on fresh and new soft tires about 12 laps before the end. Plenty of time to catch him and pass Perez infront. Problem was that Norris hit the wall and couldn't capitalize on the new tires.

I am surprised. We had 36pts last year and only 18 this year. I know last year we lucked out a little bit in getting results but the lack of points surprises me.

Decent stuff today. Shame for problems in Australia and China, and in Bahrain for Carlos as well, but all and all they are holding their ground pretty well. Without those problems they would have been a bit further ahead, but it is what it is. Hopefully they stay consistant trough the season and hopefully their cars will not suffer mechanical breakdowns.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

New tyres really weren't worth much because it was temperatures rather than wear that was the issue, they would have been better leaving him slipstreaming Perez in case of a mistake or traffic tbh.

I think the late pitstop by Norris was just giving the position back to Sainz. Sainz passed Norris on the track, yet Norris pitted first. As a result he ended up in front of Sainz.
