now albon finished ~1m13s behind verstappen. he was not lapped only because this track is much larger than hungaroring or the red bull ring, but this duration means about a lap in hungary or in austria too.
he couldn't challenge any of the mercedes or ferraris this time as well, but he had some fine battles with mclarens. this is the performance why horner sent back gasly to str.
Umm.. Did you watch the race? Did you see that part where Albon was forced to pit in lap 1?
I still don't know why I bother to answer. Just a troll
excuses, just excuses again. i'm pretty sure gasly had his excuses too why he was not able to deliver again. if albon can't compete with ferraris and mercedes, providing an useable option for horner, he will send him back to the str. patience is a luxury red bull cannot afford, not even this year. and next year they are going to challenge ferrari and mercedes for the world championship, so they are going to press also the pilots to deliver.
albon adapted to rb much faster than gasly did, but he is still not on the level horner needs him to be. i'm still unsure if they'll keep him, or go for hulk, or anyone else for the next year. remember, marko told they'll decide for the second pilot after mexico, but they didn't.
Holy Smoke.......
you could make a group with some other ppl around here .....
Gasly couldn't even overtake Raikkönnen (Hungary) or Albon in the STR (Germany) he wrecked 2 cars in testing, he f*cked up some of his own races, and he got lapped twice by his teammate....
Albon gets back from 20. (thanks to Sainz) of the grid to 5th, he had no preparation time when he got the call, he didn''t had testing days to get to know the car, and the most important point.....
IT'S HIS ROOKIE-YEAR, so it's his first time he drives some of the tracks
so from that point of view he is doing a hell of a job, better then a scary frenchmen who is afraid to overtake other cars because he couldn't stand the pressure of being in a top team.
