They were on mostly high power runs. Example Brazil quali lap.
I remember those bangs which started someway mid season from the onboards, yes, but I think this year they're even more pronounced. Or maybe it's just that unliftered fan shot video and audio that's playing tricks with me and it's been the same last year.Jaisonas wrote: ↑22 Feb 2020, 17:57They were on mostly high power runs. And 2 other vids i captured from Singapore GP

Seems like they smoothed out the bangs, and to me all this seems like they're using more power to the engine on the overrun to battle that handbrake effect Max was describing when the ers is charging. (And maybe to spool up the turbo)
Still sounds cool af
I think they're just going next level with whatever it is they are doing. There's a few videos online from testing where it sounds like this. New engine must have a few new tricks!Juzh wrote: ↑22 Feb 2020, 21:19I remember those bangs which started someway mid season from the onboards, yes, but I think this year they're even more pronounced. Those bangs are usually misfires in regular cars. They can be used to spool the turbo.Juzh wrote: ↑22 Feb 2020, 21:19I remember those bangs which started someway mid season from the onboards, yes, but I think this year they're even more pronounced. Is this root of Honda pu bangs on braking?
Wow, really playing with fire, a bit mistake the head is blown up
Actually, when I heard it first my first thought was it sounds like the Falcon Heavy launch in slow-mo.
