Honda engineers loaded Austria mappings now instead of Australia?

They probably will run the engine harder yeah, but the car also seems very well behaved in that lap, in contrast to what we saw last week

Agreed. I think it's possible if quali was dry, we'd see a much better showing, especially from Max. Car looks way more stable now compared to last week and the engine is obviously still not turned up to full beans mode. They are down on their traps from last week. Good signs.

Fully agree, thought so (not full beans yet, except tracing point that I think are the mercedes test bed, full out much earlier and see if the engine holds) but thanks for confirming (speedtraps). First few turns all perfect, high speed corners 6 7 8 looked much better too now only to nail that last sector. And hope the diffuser doesn’t stall at those even higher speeds when they go all out.

Tanabe's interview
·Max‘s DNF was nothing to do with the PU,the electronic issue was cauesd by a mechanical failure .
·After running off the course and running on the gravel, the data exceeded the limit after running off the course and running on the gravel so Alex had to stop. The related electrical components are replaced.More investigation is needed.
·He confirmed that they uesd quali mode in FP2.

But Horner implied that it was pu related an issue that they have already seen during testing .He also complained about straightline speed to sky even though problem was Redbull chassis they couldn't get rear stability so the put more downforce bf they realized parts were flexing.Horner is such a snake 🐍 if you want no nonsense straight shooter listen to Marko.

Tanabe said it was a PU electronic issue(stopped the car),but the PU electronic issue was caused by a mechanical failure.

For the people who can understand Dutch, an interview with Max yesterday afternoon.
He was very positive.

Thanks Wouter.
In the interview Max states amongst other things that the car feels completely different compared to last week: from unpredictable with snap oversteer to more stable and predictable.

The question is not that. The real question is how much fuel had every car using Q mode.
