Pole by a large margin as predicted. What I didnt expect was for RedBull to be so far back!

George Russell stated that all of the guys Albon grew up racing with know how quick and good he is. If RedBull drop him, it'll be their loss if he goes elsewhere and finds his mojo again.
Redbull need to lay off the Max cool-aid and build a car that both drivers can live with. Max alone is not going to get them to beat Mercedes, they need to create that intra team rivalry where both drivers are pushing each other. That is how Mercedes did it, first with Rosberg and Hamilton, than now with Hamilton and Bottas. You get the feeling both guys like the car. Albon does not feel comfortable in the Redbull. That much is clear.
Well... Red Bull wanted to make Max the youngest WDC in history... Now that it seems very improbable for that too happen, they may turn around and start focusing in getting a WCC

I blame Ferrari  they gave merc a false target with their rocket ship of an engine last year. And the other teams are a bit embarrassing redbull are nowhere with their chassis/aero and Ferrari nowhere with their engine.

merc should give redbull a blue painted w10, Ferrari this year’s merc engine, Williams a white and blue painted w10 etc. then we'll have a great season next year  .

Everyone keeps saying Mercedes are a second faster. But that’s against themselves.

The thing is though he doesn’t strike me as the bounce-back type, his demeanour is too introverted & he’s being crushed truthfully worse than KVY and GAS. At least the car was good when GAS & KVY were in the second seat.

Unless he’s a backed by a bunch of sponsors I’m really pessimistic

Well the Germans can make good engines, better then everyone everywhere too bad there is no BMW I’m sure they could have done better.
Mercedes Engines are built and designed in Brixworth Northamptonshire England.
Notice how their customer teams are also based in England too!

The engine is English. A bit of German coatings here and there but it is English! The turbochargers are American.
Ironically the Toyota is the only German Formula One car and engine from recent times.

Alonso can handle difficult cars too, and was off-contract for 2021 until recently.

This year's season may be interesting only for Mercedes fans. The token and limit system is real stupidity on the part of the FIA.

The sad part really is that Mercedes now have the biggest opportunity to dominate with the new set of regulations in 2022... They won’t need to invest one minute in the W12 for 2021 and focus 100% on 2022, which will give them an advantage.
In all honesty I think they're working on the 2022 car right now. They're running a low rake design they re-designed, the rear suspension to give them more room for development of the diffuser and rear end as a whole. I think that's all been done with an eye towards 2022.

STR seems to be quick with quick cars that give him confidence.
PER can't be that bad. Or?
Perez always sets up for the race. He seems to not care too much about beating his teammates in qualy as long as he can start near them.
With him and Stroll starting on the medium tires i think they're in a great position for the race

Perhaps Ferrari will push politically for some kind of power unit equalisation? That would indirectly help Renault and Honda to a lesser extent, albeit bring the works and customer team Ferraris back into contention.

And ohh boy Force India masterstroke mentality to stick with MED tires in Q2 is clutch beyond believe. KUDOS to daddys cash to prove his success from single seater junior series. Good job Lance.
