Glad to help! Oof indeed.
Nothing to do with Max, he has a good race after the embarrassing sighting lap. As for Horner, they always point the finger at everyone else, like in Austria. So I'm hoping the other teams are on this and pushing for justice.epo wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 18:29Very good point, now start your usual bashing against RB, Max or Horner.NathanOlder wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 18:14Very good point, didn't even think of that.smellybeard wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 18:01Funny brakes that need still to be cooled a half an hour after the car stopped on the grid.
That the blowers were even taken to the grid should be questioned.
It's cheating and they should be disqualified.
I think Stroll got stuck behind the Haas boys who both got slicks before the start.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 18:34Stroll got hard done by after his first stop. I am not sure what happened there.. Maybe he didn't maximize on in-lap. But whatever it was Max pitted later and on his inters jumped Stroll.
What the hell are you onabout? Stroll was passed in the pits by a undercut and then left out waiting for rain.grubschumi13 wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 17:44Thought Stroll and Perez was poor today, really had high hopes for them. Really, Stroll should be the one doing what Max did today. That is a sign of a great driver over performing the car.
He continues to say that their car is the 2nd fastest on the grid but he not showing flashes of brilliance and I don't mean he should be brilliant all the time, but when the stars give a helping hand I would hope to see him chase the result rather than then result falling into his lap.
For example Max today chased the result beating two cars superior to his own. Leclerc in Austria, yes the stars aligned for him but he chased the result passing a Mclaren, and a Racing point.
Racing Point started in very good positions, Stroll got a good start ended up in 2nd and he just didn't chase to at least keep that 2nd place. When Max and Bottas passed him it really was like a back marker being lapped.
Perez likewise.
My point exactly. Chase the result and not wait for the result. Chasing the result includes driving the strategy being bold on strategic calls. Waiting for the rain was the safest strategy because everyone was doing it. They were beaten in making the bold decision to just pit.f1jcw wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 18:47What the hell are you onabout? No, he wouldn't he would still be behind both.Schuttelberg wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 18:57Verstappen would be 4 points behind Hamilton in the WDC minus the DNF and ahead of Bottas.
Exactly, Max undercut him on the 1st round of pitstops and then Valtteri did the same on 2nd stop. No one passed Stroll on track, infact when Bottas did catch him he tried a few laps close behind and then backed off to 1.5-2 seconds and stayed there for about 10 laps.f1jcw wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 18:47What the hell are you onabout?
