2kg from the 2nd fuel flow meter. 1kg is ~0.03s/lap
notice turn 4 and 1, where people were impressed with the merc.. the rp20 is able to carry the same speed through those turns. its medium speed and traction, and Lewis where the merc is leaps aheadPlatinumZealot wrote: ↑21 Jul 2020, 21:49Interesting comparison. Both cars are stable. Racing point has better top end speed.
Can see clear difference in driver skill. HAM has quicker steering and more aggressive where it is needed. Stroll has sort of a slower reaction to the changes and has to compensate afterward.
wrong thread i know, but Hamilton did also. scrubbed quite a bit extra speed through turn 3 (compared to stroll at least) and he was really slow through the chicane compared to Bottas. goes to show theres always time on the table around the lap no matter how perfect they look.Nickel wrote: ↑22 Jul 2020, 04:42Despite the fact Stroll out qualified his team mate, it seems he left a decent slice of time on the table. Have the apex a lot of room in 1,2,5 as well as the last corner. He also takes too much curb in 7 which compromise drive.
I wonder what that car's theoretical best might have been...
Maybe, but surprised how well RP has set up the car around it. No issues this far, seems to be working mechanical out of the box.
I think that despite what some say they have not just cut and past it, but have really tried to understand the philosophy behind the design.
