Hydrogen fuel cells power the shuttle's electrical systems, producing a clean byproduct – pure water, which the crew drinks. A fuel cell combines hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity, heat, and water.

Not saying this is what Mercedes is doing, but it would be pretty incredible.

Honda should take notes. Their fuel cell technology is mature.

I was suggesting maybe it was possible to feed it back into use as fuel. I know only 'clean' air is allowed into the inlet, but I had not considered using it to power a fuel cell. As I said previously, I love a good CT.

After the GP Barcelona, Horner asked Toto why Bottas went 1 full second faster at one point in the race in sector 1 without DRS, but only with ERS.
Toto dismissed the question and started talking about something else.
The same could be seen at Hamilton in rounds 38, 39, 45 and 48.

This morning it could be read that the FIA has requested the ERS systems from the 4 engine manufacturers for a careful investigation.

That's because the Motorsport.it article announcing the FIA's ERS investigation stated that the inquiry is specifically targeting the Honda PU.

And that the TD is going to cost Honda 30 horsepower.

We’ll see. I haven’t lobbed any complaints at the Honda PU.

But it’s funny that a few folks assumed the ERS investigation was aimed at Mercedes, and now that the arrow seems to be pointing at Honda, it’s all about discrediting the report.

I’m sure if Nugnes had implicated Mercedes, his article would’ve been taken as the gospel.

As always, I’ll just wait until after all the dust settles and see who is performing on track. The more that comes out, the more I start to wonder about Honda and Renault.

You're wrong. The topic of Nugnes articles has already been discussed here. He constantly invents fables, about engines of Ferrari, Mercedes, about fuel, which was supposed to give 20 or 30 horsepower, which never happened.
I formed my opinion about him a long time ago and he only confirms it.
I think if Honda were suspected of violating the regulations (like Ferrari), all reputable publications would write about it (even if rumors). But you're right, we'll see one way or another

Actually, it is the other way around... The Mercedes engine was older than Verstappen’s by a race... If there is performance loss from race to race on an engine, Mercedes was at a disadvantage.

With similar usage, mercedes Pu can be pushed more, more reliable and lightly more powerful. I love Honda, but still something needs to be improved for durability at least. In silverston Verstappen would have not won without new engine. Is so clear. The same for last season. I guess mercedes ha some secrets in materials treatments or some other way to improve fatigue resistance. Remember fatigue studies are top German achievements

I would say judging by the current and past seasons Honda have been at least on par reliability wise.

It takes a substantial amount of electrical input to produce any usable amount of H2. Plus, you'd have the added weight of the FC. I doubt they are doing anything of the sort.
