Honda or others ( probably Honda) went a wrong way when collecting modes in one but it is early to talk. Let's see race.

You know that result for Red Bull is with the tow, whereas Mercedes cars were running without a tow. Without a tow, the Red Bull would have been another few tenths behind. If you think Honda has selected wrong modes (which I don't believe), they have a mountain to climb to bring that deficit down.
In fact my opinion is that honda will be almost same with what we see today and others will not. But as I said we need to see tomorrow race.Moore77 wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 16:14You know that result for Red Bull is with the tow, whereas Mercedes cars were running without a tow. But engine modes are not allowed to change from the startof quali to the end of the race. They for sure did experiment during practises.etusch wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 16:16In fact my opinion is that honda will be almost same with what we see today and others will not. I think the main problem is the car. It's quite visible after FP1....They need alot more wing to keep the car on the track...Anyway Mercs are light yeras ahead...engine and chassis wise...
I know. Probably there is same story like it was with Renault in Spa. Alpha Tauri in low downforce level is more aero efficient.
But the cars were optimised to run with a particular engine option. IF the RBR was optimised to qualify with extra nodes, they will suffer more than the AT if they have not had the extra mode all year.bucker wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 16:41I know. Mode will not change but what has that mode inside? How it works?bucker wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 16:28But engine modes are not allowed to change from the startof quali to the end of the race.
