That´s more the question I wanted to ask everyonehulmerist wrote:yeah, supposedly the computer data doesn't match up to what's happening on track
you can't blame hamilton, he can't drive the thing and come into the pits and draw out a new rear wing on his etch-a-sketch can he?
he can only communicate whether the developments and changes they're making are actually going in the right direction which i'm sure he is doing
The team have made the original cock-up, but Hamilton (and Kovalainen's) lack of experience will compound the problem IMO.sdimm wrote:That´s more the question I wanted to ask everyoneIs it Hamiltons feedback or the team?
With limited testing miles, do you want anyone but your two race drivers in the seat?wesley123 wrote:really. hamiltons lack of experience shouldnt be a problem.
They have De la Rosa too, who does alot of work with the development.
And of course when Alonso wasn't setting up Lewis's car anymore (if you believe some of the hater's).wesley123 wrote:really. hamiltons lack of experience shouldnt be a problem.

If hamiltons lack was a problem, why this didn't show up last year? That season they started with a handicap of not being able of using the parts they were developing on(they stopped developing cuz of the stepneygate scandal)
Yes, that´s true. But if Mclaren comes to Melbourne and the first few racers and are of the pace amongst the top runners, what happens then to Hamilton?axle wrote:wesley123 wrote: I can see a good argument for Heikki being replaced with a more technical person, but you wouldn't replace Lewis as his pace when the car is right is just too good.
Good point but it will be intressting to see how they bounce back IF they are having trouble.bgroovers wrote:McLaren are not struggling for pace with rear end instability caused by their rear wing/diffuser not working because of Lewis Hamilton! McLaren are struggling because their design team have made a cock up or the computer simulation work has given duff results.
Whether LH and HK are the best development drivers is another question but i dont believe that they have taken McLaren down the wrong path and PdL has been in the car a fair bit this winter.
I also dont believe that Alonso brought 0.7/8 seconds to McL when he came from Renault either. He may however be any excellent developer but to say some of the guff that been quoted about Hamilton being out of his depth without Fernando is utting rubbish.
I hope that they get it fixed but its great to see a changing of the guard. Never been a Button fan but i just backed Brawn GP as constructor winners!
