It was said at the time that the race pace looked no better than the one lap pace, but look how that turned out.
I'm going to wait for the race with optimism. I think we will overtake and I think our strategy gives us options. If we do not make headway then pitting earlier than those in front of us gives us an opportunity to find clear air and make use of our pace. But it will have to be managed perfectly. Something they have more often than not done.
And they really did manage the strategy brilliantly, coupled with Landos gutsy fighting to get 3rd. Fantastic race for Mclaren.
Ferrari and Mclaren will battle all year long.
Happy to see Sainz getting comfortable too.
