And to think that FIA/Liberty want to replace qualifying with their new mixed up weekend.

Legendary Max. Congrats to Verstappen. It's sad that Red Bull is still not on the level of Merc, hopefully they can improve in the season.
So being 0.036 behind means they are not on the same level ?
It’s the default easy get out to just claim after the session that there’s some huge gap in car performance.

I dont understand why you think it's slower? It seemed pretty stable from late q2 up to the end. Ever since quali mode ban times from q2 to q3 dont change whole that much. Mercedes was 4 tenths faster in q3, so where's the problem?
Slower form first Q3 run to second Q3 run obviously.
How did I know? Look for fine details.
At the time you wrote that it was just the end of first Q3 runs, dont be coy. Some drivers did improve on seconds runs.
Yes. And what's wrong? I made an analysis posted a conclusion. It was correct. Why can't you be happy for me?

In Q3 VER set a time almost 1sec faster than PER and OCO set a time of almost 0,6 sec. faster than ALO.
So it`ll crystal clear who set up their car more towards the race, isn`t it?

Tomorrow in the race it`ll be interesting to see which one of the top 3 drivers went more for a qualy setup ...

I'd have to do some digging, but i think after Q2 the temp dropped a little, and the wind picked up!

  Just listen to yourself. Literally moments after Hamilton improved 4 tenths from Q2 to Q3 you declared track is getting slower. =D> =D> That's gotta be the worst deductive analysis I've ever come across. And no it was far from correct, keep dreaming.

It did in Q3, looking at the data channel, track temp dropped and wind did pick up.

If anything conditions were better in Q3. Track temp went up from 43.7 degrees to 44.1 degrees, which is negligible difference, and wind was down from 2.9 kmh to 0.7 kmh. That's from Verstappen's Q2 lap 1:16.922 to his first Q3 Lap 1:16.777. Track conditions were a non-issue.

why was max in a hurry to overtake so many cars on his second run? he does that quite often. he doesn't care about keeping up the tyres. not sure how much that contributed in lack of laptime.

Either looking for a tow, or didn't want to run the risk of getting trapped behind slower cars.
