you mean " into q2 " ?selvam_e2002 wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 14:24seems no pace. struggling like mercedes. going into q1 is difficult.
well at least he isn't lastselvam_e2002 wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 16:03yes. Alonso gone in q3 and Ocon in Q2.
Now I really doubt the Alonso's progress. Very difficult for him to survive in F1
Negative surprise today, no doubts about that. However, Ricciardo is still struggling in Mclaren too, compared to Norris and I highly doubt he suddenly forgot how to drive. Spaniard has shown great performance in Portimao race, but he really lacks consistency atm. Struggles with tyres maybe?selvam_e2002 wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 16:03yes. Alonso gone in q3 and Ocon in Q2.

I understand that a team like Alpine tries to focus (aero) development on next year, but I wouldn't be optimistic about next years chances when you are not competitive on a track where aero efficiency is not so important. Alpine could end up having amazing downforce and power next year, but still be stuck in the midfield because the car does not handle properly...
Fortunately, they can still use this year to improve handling and driveablity.
