Ric is a total flop so far
He had engine problems earlier on in race and then after that was always driving in free air instead of people's slip stream to cool the car. That will make it very hard to overtake.

That isn't a DR problem.

Lando looks safe. Ricciardo had a very bad race.

Ferrari has great pace on harder tyres. It will work in their favor in a week - when todays medium is a soft and hard is a medium.

Almost looks like they did what we did last week - they setup their car for the race.

Lando should be clear to finish 5th … Unluckily Daniel doesn’t have enough in the car to make the move on RAI

I would say that is mostly a rule problem and aerodynamics. A car in the 80s,90s and 2000s would give Ricciardo a chance to easily pass those slower cars in front.

Okay, so at least Lando is able to keep up with Ferrari's pace right now. So there's at least something to look forward to for next week. Ferrari's pace was scary though.

Sainz starting outside the top 10 has benefited him with the free tyre choice.

Ricciardo has been useless

It's possible he is compromised on power.

It's the other way around: todays medium will be the harder compound next week and todays soft will be the medium

He had an engine problem. We don't know if it was persistent throughout the race. Up until the problem he was doing very well, on course to overtake Russell / Alonso.

Nobody would be defending him if he just slipped back because of his abysmal pace.

I can't blame Daniel today. It is clear that there was something wrong with his car as he was flying before that problem appeared. Certain individuals might be triggered from that comment and ignore me but I care not and I am glad to not be the only one that noticed that problem.

Could be but he clearly lacks confidence on the brakes.

Hope Mclaren try a slimmer rear wing next week in practise. Probably won’t though as more downforce will help the softer compounds

Was everyone here watching the same race I was? Daniel had power problems and then what looked like overheating problems. His pace was fine and he was in 8th or 9th before that happened.

Ferrari had very good pace today. A little bit scared for next week. Need Ricciardo closer next time around.

I noticed the same thing which hampered the rest of his race but some here were triggered by that comment.
