LEC 62 points, SAI 60 points.
That’s going to be quite interesting to observe moving forward.
I think they'll all get penalized to be honest.
Giving room in that corner would mean slowing down by lando, which he doesn’t need to do since he’s entitled to the racing line and Perez is not clearly ahead on the outside.El Scorchio wrote: ↑04 Jul 2021, 17:08Absolutely. I agree with racing clean… But, no one can say that Lando’s move was dirty… That was Perez trying to make a move that wasn’t going to stick.

I hope they start being consistent with that going forward, this thing is such a big deal because sometimes they allow it, sometimes they don't.
PER was ahead.JRindt wrote: ↑04 Jul 2021, 19:48Giving room in that corner would mean slowing down by lando, which he doesn’t need to do since he’s entitled to the racing line and Perez is not clearly ahead on the outside.El Scorchio wrote: ↑04 Jul 2021, 17:08Absolutely. You can always take a different line and brake later on the outside, that doesn’t mean you're actually ahead during the entire corner. Perez sure was slightly ahead during the entry, then slightly behind and was alongside lando when he went off track. But, in such a fast sweeping corner, it’s just foolish to hang around on the outside and expect the defending driver not to take the racing line. If I remember correctly, Albon did the exact same thing with Carlos and went off track in Monza and nobody batted an eyelid there.Sieper wrote: ↑04 Jul 2021, 19:56I think what sealed the deal is that Checo was already ahead before the braking zone, by quite a lot. But Lando braked himself back in to the corner. And if you do that without leaving room the other one has nowhere to go. Yes it is all a bit painful, penalties always are, with every collision there are two parties at play.
I respect your opinion but stick on what my.Capharol wrote: ↑04 Jul 2021, 12:40he didnt cry, he stated a fact, and HAM already left a gap before he made the mistake ....
but indeed lets agree to disagree.....
on to race at hand, where the first couple of laps will be determining where everybody might end up.
and when it becomes a 2 stopper Lando has a disadvantage over Verstappen due to the compounds he has left.
Hamilton will finish 2nd or 3rd IMO
Alonso is 19 seconds behind Gasly, so i dont think so.El Scorchio wrote: ↑04 Jul 2021, 19:18I don’t really know what any of the gaps are, but any chance Russell could still get a point?
