Mention made in commentary that he was feeling a bit rough so they've gone for further checks to make sure. Very wise.
Does F1 have a mandatory concussion stand down? He looked like a man who was a bit more than sore to me. I think the PU penalty change will be painful enough I can't imagine how much it would neutralise the championship if he gets stood down for 1 race.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 18:42Mention made in commentary that he was feeling a bit rough so they've gone for further checks to make sure. Hopefully, he'll bounce back and we can have a good race in Hungary in 2 weeks.
Do we know what the G-load is yet? Alonso was out for a race wasn't he, several years back?nzjrs wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 18:45Does F1 have a mandatory concussion stand down? Good to know. So I am sure you'll not start preaching next time when someone complains about BS that comes out of the mouth of certain someone. Because that certain someone drives for a team that builds great cars, and made him what he is today.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 18:40It shouldn't of course. But it's his hypocritical attitude. It's the man and the way he's been since he came in to F1. Shame because the team he speaks for build some great racing cars.lh13 wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 18:31And why does that bother you?Just_a_fan wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 18:29Horner is talking total bollocks in an interview. Playing the wounded mother bird and trying to make it out that it's all on Hamilton. Max has to take ownership for it too. Horner's attitude is like Premiership football managers excusing everything their players do no matter what.
The hospital visit is fairly normal considering the number of Gs he pulled. I doubt Max will miss the next race, he's got 2 weeks to recover and all the indications we are getting are that he's fine and just has some bruises.
No idea about concussion time outs. No doubt it'll be driven by medical advice. The team won't want a driver in the car if there is a chance of concussion. These cars put a lot of energy through the head and neck when on track in normal conditions. A concussion would not be good in those conditions.
51G is being mentioned by Horner and others.dans79 wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 18:48Do we know what the G-load is yet? I'm not aware of preaching to anyone about anyone. But do feel free to mention it should I do so in future. Of course, having a valid different opinion isn't preaching.lh13 wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 18:48Good to know. Yes, gone are the days when you could have a massive shunt and jump directly into the spare car…Just_a_fan wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 18:50No idea about concussion time outs.
