Does F1 have a mandatory concussion stand down? He looked like a man who was a bit more than sore to me. I think the PU penalty change will be painful enough I can't imagine how much it would neutralise the championship if he gets stood down for 1 race.

Horner is talking total bollocks in an interview. Playing the wounded mother bird and trying to make it out that it's all on Hamilton. Max has to take ownership for it too. Horner's attitude is like Premiership football managers excusing everything their players do no matter what.

The hospital visit is fairly normal considering the number of Gs he pulled. I doubt Max will miss the next race, he's got 2 weeks to recover and all the indications we are getting are that he's fine and just has some bruises.

No idea about concussion time outs. No doubt it'll be driven by medical advice. The team won't want a driver in the car if there is a chance of concussion. These cars put a lot of energy through the head and neck when on track in normal conditions. A concussion would not be good in those conditions.

I looked it up, Alonso set out the first race of 2015 because of a concussion he suffered in preseason testing.
