I thought it was disproven that they actually cheered the crash itself, and it was more the usual "something happened" fan noise. Earlier when Sainz crashed there was noise like cheering but I doubt anyone actually was.

But he can't since the British GP - he needs an invite first...
That, and to be fair, RB just didnt have the pace this weekend (although i am still expecting a few people to come and argue that they had a faster car, as happens every week.. ;p). Maybe Max could have taken Bottas, but Lewis was out of reach here.politburo wrote: ↑31 Jul 2021, 16:27Why would Horner go to the stewards for that?. What?lh13 wrote: ↑31 Jul 2021, 16:27In your face, I would say.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑31 Jul 2021, 16:27Horner saying he has no problem with the slow outlap. Hamilton had track position and had the right to drive his own pace. Which is surprising to hear and hopefully will kill this issue dead from now on.
It's not a driving standard issue. It's just boring we didn't get to see the drivers put competitive laps in on their final run with all this stopping before the last corner. Even worse off for Verstappen who could've challenged for pole. Which certainly affects tomorrow's race - they're on the terrible soft tyre, which in the race runs for Ferrari was over 5 tenths slower than the Medium tyre with Vettel as per www.f1bythenumbers.com. It's basically going to be Austria 2.0, one driver (Hamilton this time) 10+ seconds ahead lapping on his own, and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th separated by 2 or 3 seconds each due to the delta in tyres. But hats off to Mercedes not being baited into qualifying on softs in Q2.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑31 Jul 2021, 16:27Horner saying he has no problem with the slow outlap. They were out there on softs I think, just in case, but did not complete the laps.politburo wrote: ↑31 Jul 2021, 16:33It's not a driving standard issue. They did send them out on softs just in case, I think. Luckily for Mercedes they had just enough pace on the mediums. But it was close.
Brand a 15 year F1 veteran as a reckless and amateurish driver?, I'm quite sure he is one of the cleanest drivers on the grid, the track-record speaks for itself. Horner even admitted RB's reasoning for pushing a right to review was to see if they can protest the fact Hamilton won the race despite a penalty, not none of that reckless driver nonsense.littlebigcat wrote: ↑31 Jul 2021, 16:29Its all part of the 4D chess to brand Hamilton as a reckless and amateurish driver.
