Somebody tell Mercedes they are competing in F1, not destruction derby
Joking aside. F1 is rapidly becoming a liability for Mercedes rather than an asset. In the end the brand and image is more important than winning.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we see some changes soon.
Let it go.

Accidents happen in F1 when competing
lol, don't forget, it was Russell who wrecked a Mercedes few months ago, Bottas happend to be in it ;-)

The start today was echoes of the US GP in 2005... I think there needs to be an open letter calling for Masi to resign, absolutely farce of an event today.

Time to get the rule book out.... both Ocon got instruction to pit during the second formation lap.... Vettel suggested it and the team was like "ok, we're ready, ok lets do it". Hamilton only got a "ok copy, remember, standing start" after he said it was dry.
I am not so sure about that. Don't the drivers have a button on the steering wheel to signal that they go into pits? In that case the radio message would be just a confirmation by the team that they've received that signal. I've actually reviewed the Russel's onboard to see how the hell did he end up on the front on the queue at the pits on the restart and it was the same - the conversation about the conditions, Russel's suggestion that everybody would pit and then "OK, box box" (or something similar) from the team. And Russel was not called to the stewards after the race (as far as I know).
A driver can communicate back and forth with the team for as long as it is after the race has started. The race was not suspended, thus it was still in progress even on the safety car restart lap. They were not starting the race over from lap 0 they were simply resuming (re-starting) from where they left off which was lap 3.

Hmmm, not the first time a driver has been penalised for not having enough fuel to test. Spain 2012 comes to mind.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Sucks for Norris today. He could have been right in the mix.
If the car could’ve been fixed Norris must have felt he had a shot at the win today.
Completely agree. That said, I have no idea where he might have ended up in the pit stop shuffle at the restart but he’d have probably been sitting pretty sweet.

Not sure I understand how any of this was Masi’s fault? He didn’t have any control over the weather.

Didn't Ferrari just get a fine in '19 for this?

https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/arti ... qoS0G.html

Not sure if that would fall under the same infraction though

Ferrari got fined for having different amounts declared and actually in the car before the race. If you don't have at least 1L for sample at the end of a session as far as I remember penalty is DSQ. Last one I remember with that infringement was Hamilton in Q session at Catalunya in 2012. He was DSQ-ed from qualifying and had to start last while Maldonado inherited the pole and went on to win the race.

Hamilton and Mercedes have lost all respect from my side.
That’s a lie. They never had it to begin with. You have disparaged Toto and mocked Hamilton for years.

So you want only "based" mind reading?

Not the same, that was a "fault" in the paperwork how much fuel was in the car at a certain point. Not having enough fuel is a much harder offence.. basicly you're running the car under weight.

Oh, I see now. I thought it was about the communication during the restart.
