What I don't understand is that when people say sportsperson should not talk about social issues, then who?
Politicians? Whose motto is to divide and rule...
Seb has every right to speak his mind as much as anyone else has to follow or ignore it
Agree. The way I see it, if the world was a fairer, more equal place for everyone then Vettel or Hamilton or anyone else from the world of sport, music or film wouldn’t have to say anything. Sadly it’s not a fair and equal place. I have to say I admire they are doing something about it, both with words and with actions.
Like Hamilton's posts about his nephew wearing a dress (“I’m so sad right now. Look at my nephew. Why are you wearing a princess dress? Is this what you got for Christmas? Boys don’t wear princess dresses!” ) and covid vaccine conspiracy theories, deleting it only after being called out on it? Lewis talks about his "character" but won't let his gf use his bathroom, or his own pilot from taking a crap on his airplane. At least Vettel's actions are far more noble and he doesn't use any "platform". He does it quietly with humility. No topless selfies, no bling bling rapper friends. I agree this forum should stick to talking about Formula 1 and racing, instead of talking up Hamilton's "character".El Scorchio wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021, 01:51Agree. Thought I was on your ‘ignore’ list? I guess yet another opportunity for you to add nothing of value to a conversation but just to speak ill of someone was just too good a chance to turn down, eh?ispano6 wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021, 02:30Like Hamilton's posts about his nephew wearing a dress (“I’m so sad right now. And yet you made an entire post about nothing but Lewis's "character".....ispano6 wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021, 02:30Like Hamilton's posts about his nephew wearing a dress (“I’m so sad right now. Yes, he was in the top 10, so sure they get the point. And yes that benefits Gasly too.JordanMugen wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021, 03:56AlphaTauri won the point for themselves!
Gasly has the gap, of course he goes for the extra point for his own WDC.
It can be done if the inside line behaves yeah ..
They did it in silverstone with Perez. I guess each point taken away from Lewis counts.Manoah2u wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021, 04:05Yes, he was in the top 10, so sure they get the point. And yes that benefits Gasly too.JordanMugen wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021, 03:56AlphaTauri won the point for themselves!

But it's gonna be hard to convince me that this was not due to a phone call from Helmut or Horner to Tost to get either of the Alpha Tauri's to get a point.
Without bargeboards and huge parts of your floor broken it kinda is hard to do so ...
I honestly can't grasp what stuff you're on, but it appears to be pretty brutal ..
Verstappen overtook Riccardo as well, that's how he got a point.ringo wrote: ↑02 Aug 2021, 05:09Let me demonstrate.. Hamilton makes his own luck by pulling off key moves in the race that people fail to notice because they are busy moaning over things like rainbow T shirts.
Hamilton's overtake on Riciardo after the pits. Very critical move to stay ahead!
Then overtake on tsunoda.. and so on.
The driver has to make his own luck.
