So, with 2 laps having been done, do we get half points here?

That's 6 for Daniel and 2.5 for the Ferrari duo. Meaning a 3.5 point lead to McLaren. Could have been more, but it could have definitely gone the other way around too, so I'll take it.

Onto Netherlands I guess.
A shame really, but as you well said it’s not all bad… Daniel will finish the race P4, which gives him 6 points, Leclerc and Sainz get 2.5 points between them and an small lead of 3.5 points now.

I wish the decision to run tomorrow would have been made, but with Zandvoort been so close, I guess that’s why they won’t do it (and to be honest, probably because they don’t have a spot on TV to broadcast it and therefore there is no revenue to be made out of it)
Well, Belgium and Netherlands are not exactly worlds apart, so it's not a big deal running the race tomorrow. Not sure if it's worth it though. I would just leave it as it is.

If the forcast for tomorrow was sunny, I'd say give it a shot...but it's not...it's more of the same.

Agreed, they could make it happen if they wanted to… But, with probably the team’s buy-in to run tomorrow I don’t think there would be consensus to run tomorrow… I’m sure Red Bull (and therefore Alpha Tauri) won’t want to do it, Williams will of course say no (they bank the P2) and I have a feeling that Aston Martin is very happy with their P5.
This was made impossible when they introduced the max 4 hour time limit from race start

I complained bitterly when they did so, and even more when it was reduced to 3, because I knew one day we’d end up in this sill situation

That rule must be reviewed & F1 should revert back to starting an hour earlier in Europe to allow for instances like this

technically, Mclaren are on for a 3 win streak at Zandvoort. It may suit them, looks fast corners and flowing

Not sure what you can do with all the rain they got but points for no laps in race condition is stupid.

LOL that would be awesome!

I miss Mclaren fighting for wins. The hybrid era would have been a lot better if they hadn't dropped the ball.

I was going to say something similar but deleted before I posted

What’s the point in having the 2 lap rule of your going to run them behind the safety car!

Still, after 2 disastrous weekends it’s great to see both McLaren & Lando still in 3rd!

Things could have been a awful lot worst. Now… on to Zandvoort and 🤞 they can defend their positions on track as well as they can off of it, or at least, let’s hope they get the bloody chance too 🤣

I am a bit worried about Zandvoort. Complete unknown as we have never been there recently. Hopefully McLaren has a good weekend. We are due some celebrations after two "not so good ones" in a row.

I am still worried about the motor, the impact was very strong, yesterday's mileage was too low for them to identify problems.

McLaren is the only mid-tier team that doesn't yet have a 1st spot in the new turbo era. This is awful considering our form over the past three years.

They can use Friday at Zandvoort & use Hungary PU if required... 4th PU at Monza if need be...

They raced with old PU on Sunday, not the one from quali crash. I hope the crashed one is ok. Fingers crossed.

Taking away any outlier results, the true measure of progress is consistency. Inheriting wins through fortunate circumstances will never be as satisfying as earning one on pure merit. So personally, this doesn't bother me too much. The win will come, and I still think we have an opportunity this year at Monza.

if anyone has link to Norris onboard of his P1 in Q1 or Q2, love to see it. Still a bit taken aback how he managed that, twice
