Not confirmed. I read it on Motorsport Italy. Is Turkey the first race after Monza? If so that's where I expect the engine to arrive, though I wouldn't rule out a delay since Binotto has repeatedly said it will come later

It will be a tough weekend. I expect both cars out in Q2. The race pace is usually good enough for points but the DRS/slipstream trains make it so hard to overtake. Best strategy will be to go long probably, like Sainz in that Austrian GP

I agree; Not expecting much from any of the Ferrari-powered teams... if we have a clean race and end-up with a few points, I think that'll be a positive takeaway... to minimise the potential points hall McLaren will rake in, with their superior straight-line speed and Mercedes Power.

Looks like the PU update will arrive in Turkey and is expected to be a 15HP boost.

This is welcomed news (although I was wishing more along the lines of 115hp haha). This should definitely help. won't put them ahead of RBR or MERC, or even likely on par, but should get them closer. They can definitely play with the aero a bit now with the extra HP.

They definitely need to get back level with the rest of the engines going into 2022. We've been playing catch-up for 2 years now.

That's a pretty decent bump in power IMO. Definitely enough to equal or outpace McLaren at the tracks left on the calendar.

How on earth just one electronic control unit upgrade bring that much power :?:

That surprised me too, surely it's not just the CE that gets changed? Who knew there were such big gains to be found from the software like that. Formu1a reported that it's not just a power upgrade but reliability as well and will allow them to run a tighter engine cover, that can't all be down to a CE change surely, probably one or both of the MGUs will also get changed

As I understand, +15 hp will be after updating hybrid parts and CE

Even though Ferrari is not bringing engine upgrades, i feel they will take risks with Aggressive engine mode settings(like run higher power for a longer time) to make up the positions.

CE is one of the confirmed parts of the upgrade. The whole upgrade is definitely more than just CE.
