According to AmUs, Lawrence Stroll offered Fernando Alonso a contract to be alongside Lance Stroll next year. Alonso didn’t accept it. It’s not clear why Aston Martin wanted to replace Vettel

Surely the obvious target if they were thinking that is Bottas? Better for all concerned too.

Yeah he kind of tried to drive Alonzo off the track, Alonzo was on the dirt. Not very nice of Ocon.

I think as the reputation of Alonso the mega starter grows, people will get more aggressive with him, in sort of a "youre not gonna do that to me" type of way.

I think it's not abnormal for Ocon to assume Alonso was gonna back off earlier than he did. He wasn't far alongside Ocon, and it's his teammate so you'd expect him to play particularly nice. Indeed Alonso backs off even before Ocon really shuts the door, just 0,5s later than Ocon expected. Nothing in their respective first laps really shocked me TBH. Both drivers tried to gain ground without any kamikaze move.

Ocon is not a fair and correct driver at all. Is very quixk like grosjean and prone to crasheswith other cars. He has little future, since does not change mind.

I think it's not abnormal for Ocon to assume Alonso was gonna back off earlier than he did. He wasn't far alongside Ocon, and it's his teammate so you'd expect him to play particularly nice. Indeed Alonso backs off even before Ocon really shuts the door, just 0,5s later than Ocon expected. Nothing in their respective first laps really shocked me TBH. Both drivers tried to gain ground without any kamikaze move.

It is the driver at the inside who must play nice, not the driver who is pushed out!

Ocon was on the limit, he didn´t left a car width space, but didn´t push him off completely either. But when it´s the teammate who is at the outside, normally drivers leave a car width space wich Ocon didn´t and both Alpines could have finished the race in the barriers. They were lucky but not thanks to Ocon

1 time out every 10 times that probably ends up in tears !
