Good news is there might not be any races in April.
.
Huh?? If there are no races possible in SA Monza and Paul Ricard are mentioned.

I cannot imagine how they discuss this internally… tension must be so high.

Explain this to Lawrence Sr.

I don't think any of us expected the car to the last the grand prix. Hopefully they can push the package more in qualy.
Alonso said the car for Australia is a lot different to test the other week.

Yeah, you’re right — they have switched to other venues in the past, mainly during COVID. They’ve also dropped races from the calendar and shortened the season before. The longer they wait to officially cancel those races, and if the situation doesn’t get resolved, the more likely outright cancellations become.

These venues pay a lot of money to host these races. With short notice, you can’t expect that from fill-in venues. So it comes down to "what's the point?". It’s not like it was back during COVID — there’s no real desperation to put on a few extra races. It’s just two in a season of 24.

Anyways, I can hope can't I ? :)

Should they be sure that, come sunday, they can only do 10-20 laps, they'll actually do a decent 10-20 laps. Because they can under fuel and make it less painful. Fuel for 30 laps, and it will be noticeable, sort of, with lots of plausible deniability.

Maybe they will only do one lap to avoid breaking anything

I used AI to predict Q1 fastest lap time in Albert Park (after comparing fastest lap in 2025 Bahrain testing to fastest lap in 2026 Bahrain testing and using that to extrapolate a Q1 fastest lap from the 2025 times) and Aston only need to be within approx 5.5 seconds of the Q1 fastest lap to qualify for the race.

I think it's fair to say they'll manage that.

We're gonna have to wait and see. We'll know more in a little more than 3 days.

The news that Aston might just do a few laps and park it I hope is fabricated nonsense, however, based on the last day of testing it might not be. I hope Aston has some fixes in place for this weekend to at least get the car running a race distance, even if they are at the back of the pack.

If this conflict in Iran continues for 4-5 weeks or longer then the Bahrain/ Saudi GP will need to be cancelled. Fuji track is up to F1 standards so perhaps they should look at logistics of staying in Japan. Then run two races in Japan if they decide to replace the Bahrain GP on the calendar. Very scary time in the world with no idea of what is coming next.

If they haven't solved the Vibration issues by then, I hope F1 cancel those races and give them an extra month of time to find a solution.

They've been running the Amaraco fuel through all the preseason tests. I haven't heard any complaints about it.

They had more than 1 spec? The way I understand it is this is spec #1-march 2026. Before March 1st there was no spec, the way I understand it anyways. That's what homologation means.

Quick question. If AM use a "bad" PU/ES this weekend, then introduce an updated PU/ES so it is "good", the "bad" engine is in the engine pool for the season and counts as a PU/ES. Can AM upgrade the "bad" in pool engine with newer "good" parts or is that spec what they'd have to use if they wanted to reuse that PU/ES? I can easily see PU/ES penalties coming for them this year.
