Awesome P3 for Carlos! 2 Qualifying sessions and 1 race yet, and in the 3 events there was a McLaren 3rd... Wow, who´d have imagine that before the season start?

It's not really crazy if you think that in 2018 we were 2 seconds off the pace and now the car is only 0.5 to 0.7 seconds off the pace. If they keep making strides it's gonna take 2 more years to have a Championship Winning Car on par with Mercedes. We will soon have a new upgraded latest technology F1 Simulator back at the Paragon who will produce even better cars. It's not really crazy to set up ambitions.

On another note I am glad that the team keeps being humble and work their asses off to obtain that first place at some point.

Don't forget your basing this on McLaren's competitiveness at one track. Re bullring is a short with few corners, it tends to tighten up the pack. Let's wait for SPA.

Spa is probably going to suit the car I reckon. What’ll show the full picture is a combination of low and high speed tracks like Hungary and Silverstone.

But I think since late last year their focus on an all-around competitive package really shows it’s been carried over to this year. They were fast in all sectors in Austria after all.

Time of truth again. We need a clean start and if positions come out of that it is acceptable. No need to tangle with the Red Bulls and the Mercedes. We need to save tyres. We might also need to defend at the start until the car brings the tyres up to heat. No rush and a cool racing and I am sure we will get a lot of points again.

Norris hasn't started well. Lost a place and now 10th.

Carlos P5 and Lando P10... A little as expected... The part that is really worrisome is Stroll in P9 and Perez already in P11... Those Racing Points are quick on race trim!

He’s picked it up. Bit of a trend. MCL35 doesn’t seem to love high fuel running. Hopefully as the fuel load goes down the car will start coming alive

Its a long race. We will see what we can do but we haven't started well at this first stint. Both Renaults and Racing Points seem to be maybe slightly faster.

We do look slower than Renault and Racing Points at this point in time. Hopefully it is due to tire conservation and high fuel.

Remains to be seen. It's still a long race. The car however at the moment is not delivering like last week. I remember thought at that first stint the car wasn't as fast as it was later.
