No, Vettel should not "think it through more". People, like these politicians, would be wise to stop conflating issues with voices, and voices only being valid if cleaner than clean. Does that mean Vettel having any opinion on climate change, oil or the like is wrong? No.
Will these tweets find people fawning over the responses because they are simple and don't hold the necessary capacity to think beyond 160 characters? Yes.
Vettel should continue to call out climate change issues, human rights issues, whatever issues he wants to if he geneuinly believes in them and wants to progress the human race. He has a great platform to raise awareness and get people talking about them, and that can only be a positive thing.
