Ricciardo's season is an absolute shame and today's is the proof of it

Scott? What can Norris do alone? How many points he can get if both Alpines manage to finish inside top 10.

A P6 is possible today for Lando. Let's go!

Unless Our race pace is mega vs the alpines I don't see Ric moving up that many places barring any incidents/lucky safety cars etc and unless likewise the front runners fall apart and lando gets a lucky 3rd or something and the alpines hold station its pretty much going to be status quo in WCC.

Certainly is mate. Such an utter shame. I think we all thought we struck gold when we signed him. It just hasn’t worked and it’s been the right call for both team and driver. One of those things. I’m glad it was identified and decisions were made.

P6 qualifying I’d guess but could a penalty be incoming for the unsafe release putting us back into the clutches of the Alpines

If there are doubts that Norris is fast… In Q2 he was faster than Perez in a Red Bull… That’s impressive (He also was half a second faster than the Alpine’s).

The MCL36 simply seems the opposite of the MCL35M… The change in performance at Zandvoort compared to the last year (and Spa versus last year) seems to indicate that… With how young the regulations are, the potential for a rapid improvement is there if they are looking at replicating some concepts brought by others and by having now more aggressive and clear targets to aim for in development / design.

The thing is that in my opinion the team should change at how they see things. They are going too conservative. The next time they create their first car they should claim that this is not enough and go for even better.

Argh. --- off Perez. Come on. Costed some good finish today.

Mclaren is just unlucky. In races where they are good something happens and they miss a good finish.

Ricciardo keeps proving McLaren right with their decision with performances like this.

I dislike how the whole thing panned out, but to have the more expensive driver finish p18 when the "rookie" is putting it in p7.

Yeah, that's not right.

Best of the rest. 7th is pretty much the maximum subject to incidents!

Lando extracting performance from the car he is given. It has become norm, but we should be thankful, otherwise there wouldn't be many positives about this season.

Dan just keeps proving what zak&andreas did was absolutely justified.

Just imagine what kind of season we‘d be having if Dan was our bench mark driver.

Lando extracting the absolute maximum as usual. Even on the weekend where his personal issues would affect him the most.

The Tunnel calibration will be done most probably by a reserve or sim driver on a previous generation car, it won’t be done by the F1 drivers…
What role does any driver have with calibrating a wind tunnel? I wouldn't even think a car (or model) had anything to do with the calibration. From my understanding calibration has more to do with verifying output with measurements.
IE if the belt is set at a certain speed, its then verified with a measuring devise to be traveling at set speed.
