Does anybody have some pictures and info about this new floor edge?Mercedes also submitted that it had a new floor edge detail for Mexico, although this was only to be used as a test item on an older specification of the floor for Nyck de Vries’ car in FP1.
Here is a good comparison, but most of the differences I see can be explained by De Vries' old specification (pre-France) floor - especially the floor edge wing's geometry and absent vortex generators in this section:
However, the most notable difference between Nyck's FP1 setup and the Mercedes' car from the rest of the season is the lack of floor stay for Nyck. It could be that they're testing a more sturdy rear floor section such as with an internal strut system, similar to what RB have run all season, hence the lack of need for the external floor stay. Or that could be inconsequential - not sure but if I had to guess it'd be the rear floor section
