It's going to be really incredibly hot this coming weekend. The sessions are later in the day and then it will be
about 5 degrees cooler, but still hot.
Which team has suffered from hugely high temperatures in recent months and with what?

This is going to be tough for drivers. The saving grace is the humidity is not like in Singapore else drivers may suffer intense heat stress. Possible for FIA to delay the race to later?

No particular fan of Silverstone as a viewing circuit but at least 150,000 people add atmosphere. Silverstone undeniably produces good racing, you can overtake, Lusail is like a flat Hungaroring.

I think some have criticized Losail for being flat and featureless resulting in many parts of the circuit feeling indistinct and same-y. I think it's valid

Someone then drew comparison to Silverstone, one of the most beloved F1 circuits, with its also flat and largely featureless location as a defence of Losail or just to point out that it may not exclude Losail from being a good track

Both are valid IMO

It's a bit frustrating for Qatar to already have a deal until 2032 - sportswashing at its finest. <mod edit: point made already, further politics removed>. Other sports that I'm interested in such as Football, cycling are already infiltrated in far more insidious ways, but it's inevitable that F1 will experience a similar fate given how money-hungry it has proven to be

This aside I don't think Qatar will make for spectacular racing with its lack of braking zones, lack of slow-speed, and narrow track width. 2021 was good but there were a lot of unusual factors in this race: height of a championship battle, out of position cars, strange strategy due to the tyre punctures and lots of unpredictability due to said punctures causing DNFs
