If any, the RB20 we're seeing on the low quality pictures looks more like the launch spec W14 with an upper lip and a vertical inlet - of course if it's true that the RB20 actually has vertical inlets.

The RB20 inlet looks more comparable in size to the Ferrari S-Duct than to the W14 inlet... well done Honda.
They do have a fat centerline (a lot similar to the W14).

Interesting that they removed the crease on the top of the sidepods that pushes air outside, do they have a small water slide going on?
The most mysterious launch ever honestly.

There's no chance that a tiny s-duct inlet would be enough cooling unless there were fans at the back of the car drawing suction...

I’m still skeptical they moved the inlet vertically. I don’t think it’s a huge deal but high and horizontal makes more sense.

+1 Interesting take. With such lorge sidepods you might get away with rad maxxing on one side only. Inlet only on the left side for CCW tracks, right side for CW tracks. Where was shakedown held?
Well, Silverstone is run CW...

Aero cover on the LH side, RB19 intake on the unseen RH side.

W13 was a dog on straights and not just because of the big wing. It was a very draggy car that didn’t manage tire wake properly. RBR was by far the best at that job.

The concept was that with that DF it would be the fastest in corners that being slow in the straight doesn't matter

Of course. What I mean is, you run the risk of doing a Mercedes 22, that is you are actually only delaying the discovery of your issues.

It was a dog because they had to run it very high off the ground so it doesn’t porpoise like crazy! Under normal setup as in their simulations the car would have been alright on the straights…

Could they have a second smaller vertical inlet on the side (underneath the O in oracle). Quite unlikely, but would increase the cooling somewhat.
