Well obviously all teams will tell a driver to let teammate through so no different if a situation where it’s needed. Silly statement.Quantum wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 17:12Eh? Who said Lewis is number 2?PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 17:09So Sainz's seat is a number 2 job role at Ferrari?
Strange . So are you saying Lewis signed up to be Leclerc's Number 2?
For that matter, who said Sainz is number 2?
Strange indeed.
I said Lewis will find himself in these situations. Do you disagree?
Clearly some people struggle with it.ToffeeTyres wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 17:32Well obviously all teams will tell a driver to let teammate through so no different if a situation where it’s needed. Bono is not responsible for strategy.
Discount how old was Lewis's tyre was compared to George or, what he would have achieved if gap was less?Matt2725 wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 18:32Just going to ignore Lewis's awful pace on the hards?
Leclerc backed up GR to within a few seconds of Lewis. GR then proceeded to pull a gap of 24 seconds by the end of the race. In no universe was Lewis finishing ahead of GR.
His setup was obviously biased towards one lap pace, which probably explains the rare quali "win" over his teammate.
I don't think Hamilton tunes a car for 1 lap ever. He's just very good in Singapore, like Silverstone. It's doubtful that the car was particularly good this weekend. I think it's more of an illusion because you have a Hamilton who is always good on 1 lap here, and you have a Russell who is also very good on 1 lap.
George was faster than Lewis after Lewis was put on fresh hards and he was still on his mediums.xaero wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 18:35Discount how old was Lewis's tyre was compared to George or, what he would have achieved if gap was less?Matt2725 wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 18:32Just going to ignore Lewis's awful pace on the hards?

Just try to paint bad picture as usual as if what happened was Hamilton's fault totally.
Exactly. On the Ferrari & Rb threads they have good amateur data analysts & “experts” who contribute regularly & sort of up the contributing standards, in the Merc we’ve got some of the dumbest musings anywhere on this forum. It’s a problemTvetovnato wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 18:35Dear lord what a complete garbage dump this thread has become. Gets worse race by race. Unbelievable.
Is it forum traffic that is prioritized no matter what or what is it?

That's it and something we didn't see, Lewis had horrendous pace on the hards. The undercut was massive today but Lewis ended up losing around 6 secs to an overcut. It seems as though when Lewis beats Russell in qualifying his race pace is waaay off, I can recall the same in Japan this year.Matt2725 wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 18:40George was faster than Lewis after Lewis was put on fresh hards and he was still on his mediums.xaero wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 18:35Discount how old was Lewis's tyre was compared to George or, what he would have achieved if gap was less?Matt2725 wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 18:32Just going to ignore Lewis's awful pace on the hards?

For a circuit where the undercut is powerful, he managed to overcut Hamilton quite convincingly.
Lewis had no pace for whatever reason. Be it setup or otherwise.
