If that’s how it will be in the race then Oscar is a dead weight. Not worth giving rivals undercut chances by bunching up the field.Seerix wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 16:53Nicely managed by Lando I have to say, that was definitely NOT easy to do for the whole race. I bit worried for the race pace now. Lando's got pace, but I am not so sure about Osc. Luckily they can adapt the car ahead of quali again and make it better for the race tomorrow.
I’m pretty sure Lando will just bomb off tomorrow if Oscar is behind him againEmag wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 16:57If that’s how it will be in the race then Oscar is a dead weight. Agreed, this DRS 'match fixing' is only viable for couple of laps, not the whole race. Noone will blame NOR if he just disappears.CjC wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 16:59I’m pretty sure Lando will just bomb off tomorrow if Oscar is behind him againEmag wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 16:57If that’s how it will be in the race then Oscar is a dead weight. Feel the same. It's perfectly justified after the Brazilian shenanigans, but something the sport does not need.
It wasn't a team order, its something they agreed before hand. In the race they told Lando not to swap because george was too close, but he did it anyway.Waz wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 17:14Feel the same. It's perfectly justified after the Brazilian shenanigans, but something the sport does not need.
Won't be surprised if Team Orders come under review by the FIA next year after so many blatant result fixes by McLaren. This is the 3rd race they changed the winner of through T.O.
The betting shops (and F1 sponsors) won't like that.
If we get 15 points over Ferrari tomorrow we are WCC in Qatar. "All" we need is 1-2 to be sure of it.
Yeah, if we finish ahead of them then it looks good for the WCC.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 17:32I'd take 5 over, 35 ahead with 44 left on the table would be almost guaranteed WCC.
