Will be interesting to know if Sulayem was talking to the stewards about it againSlahinki wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:49Race control once again continuously making the most dangerous decisions they can, while simultaneously fixing the results. It was an obvious accident waiting to happen. You don't need to be a genius to figure it out. We are lucky no one had a big crash because of it.
So instead of throwing a short VSC or a 2-3 lap SC we got 2 punctures and a longer SC with going through pits until it was cleaned up. And then Hamilton gets drive through for pit speed infringement and Norris 10s stop and go.
Dont think so. This was their shot. The only hope is Verstappen stays strong, and perhaps Russell, to push Ferrari to p3 and 4 with Mclaren p5 and 6...Mclaren-Honda-1988 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:47How is Mclaren in Abu Dhabi as a car though? Does the track suit the car more than today?
We have a 21 points gap so it's going to have to be a perfect race from Ferrari (or a disaster from McLaren) to get them over. It should be winnable. It's easy to see how VER or RUS could win in Abu Dhabi making things even harder for Ferrari.
We need either one of them to win it.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:53We have a 21 points gap so it's going to have to be a perfect race from Ferrari (or a disaster from McLaren) to get them over. Race control don't decide the penalty, the stewards pulled that one out of the hat. What they did with the mirror was dangerous and could have cost millions in damage.Slahinki wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:49Race control once again continuously making the most dangerous decisions they can, while simultaneously fixing the results. McLaren only needs P4+P5 and FL to win no matter what. They are very much still in the drievrs seat even if Ferrari turn out to be faster in Abu Dhabi.proteus wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:52Dont think so. clear double yellows, penalty is severe but probably because he used drs as wellSeerix wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:59wtf even happened... I hope to see some analysis of the yellow flag, which was on/off on finish straight, if Lando was the only one who did not lift and WHY he did not lift... and the 10sec stop/go is insane, I can't believe they just decided yeah, this is a good time after x years to pull out stop/go penalty for no reason... ffs I can't believe this
