Isnt Alonso up 15-1 in the last 16 Qualy?
I wonder what weird was going on the time he re signed and lost like 4 qualy in a row?
I think Alonso is really good at qualifying, he's even better in a race.Sedaxel wrote: ↑07 Dec 2024, 21:14Stroll might not be a reference. But how about Vettel? Was he a bad qualifier?OnEcRiTiCaL wrote: ↑07 Dec 2024, 20:46He race craft always was better than Qualification. Yes he not strong at one lap usually...Stroll not a reference point obviously.Sedaxel wrote: ↑07 Dec 2024, 19:00Some here have said that Alo is not a good qualifier.
Alo seems to disagree... He's said "I'm arguably the best qualifier of the year".
Now the question is who is right. Alo or some other over here? (Obviously, the answer is quite clear for me... No doubts at all).
Qualifying stats:
2021 - Vettel 14 - Stroll 8
2022 - Vettel 13 - Stroll 7
2023 - Alonso 19 - Stroll 3
2024 - Alonso 18 - Stroll 5
I think your arguments are based on weak data, mate.
He is definitely not bad, some people lack nuance. His Sundays are better.

Mid-season was poor but it has improved since then to more acceptable numbers.
We now have almost two full seasons each with Alonso and Vettel facing the same teammate in the same team to compare and I think the difference is more than clear...
Hopefully this is true and the car responds on track to the data it gets from the simulator. It's important to be agile and get the set-up changes right during the GP weekend. This is something that AM was lacking and lately the feeling is that they're knowing how to do it.
He also said that they made a change after FP2 for FP3 and did not work. I really hope it is thanks to the new simulator but the first statement give some doubts
Has there been any videos of the new simulator or WT? Would love to see them in action. Anyway hope for a good result after Alonso pulled it out the bag.
Needed to two stop because the tyres were degrading too quickly, but the terrible pit stops cost Alonso 3 seconds on track.OnEcRiTiCaL wrote: ↑08 Dec 2024, 16:28He lost so much time ,should be close to Hulkemberg, but more than 10 sec. Is a lot...
