Multiple sources are saying aston Martin prepared a place for Adrian Newey to sleep at the factory.

This was at Newey's request, who is prepared to work overnight on the 2026 car.

That looks like a small space
I mean, it's a pretty decently sized office. That's plenty of space. It's not like Newey will build the entire car in his office, he will just design things.

Some interesting comments by Alonso -
"The car itself is basically the '24 car, it's only the outside and all the aerodynamic parts that did change a lot, for performance," said Alonso.

"But let's say the engines, radiators, driveshafts, suspension - everything is the same as '24 so we don't need the normal race distances and so many laps like we will need next year, probably, when it's crucial to test the reliability."

If only change on AMR25 over AMR24 is 'Aero Surface' ; expecting any progress over Abu Dhabi(where AM was 8th fastest) is useless. Does that mean, AM is waiting on Newey to analyze & provide direction to build 'AMR25-B Spec'?
Pre-season testing seems to be a data gathering exercise for Spec-B.
They won't build a spec 2, the AMR 25 is the AMR 24 spec 2. They didn't change chassis and everything else to save the money for the 2026 which is the big goal, in fact is the project Newey will focus on.

It doesn't make sense to work on 2025. It will be painful but necessary at this point.
As I know, nobody allow to stack money up. I mean they can't spend more than cost cap a year ,doesn't matter if you spent nothing or all the cost cap.
You could divert money to the 2026 car sooner, which is the same thing. The problem with that is, alot of the stuff for 2026 is still in Design, so there isn't alot of need for Carbon being built yet. What do you do with those guys ? They could probably build alot of the Carbon for the 2026 car in 2 to 3 months. So we're talking end of November 2025.

If AMR25 is indeed 8th or 9th fastest car on the grid then might as well use it as a 'Testing Mule' to test wind tunnel correlation , AMR26 concepts on different tracks.

There should be enough talent at Aston Martin to make the 2025 car an upper mid pack competitor even if they aren't trying that hard. If they aren't at least at the same level as Alpine , then they're really doing something wrong

Upper mid pack competitor ? Who said that? You guys are crazy! It was just a test, but yeah Williams will fight for podium with Alpine and the Ferrari with midfield and Aston with the Sauber. Redbull Mercedes won't even fit to podium. You guys lol!

That will happen regardless of how well they do.
