Brazil should be good, but if it rains then it's a Max-biased dice roll
Vegas probably will be bad, so damage limitation there.
Qatar and Abu-Dhabi, unless they DNF, it should be podium at the very least.
So it's down to the next 2 races basically.

As for Max, I think he was robbed today honestly. Mega drive and that VSC at the end was a joke.
I agree that VSC was not needed. Quite silly actually.

But I do think there would have been a problem with the stewarding. With the flag in that section, you need to slow down, but it is not mandated by how much, so Max can easily just see how much Leclerc slows down and then do a little bit less. Like he did at that spot before the VSC.

With it being right before a big straight it's a huge advantage and we would have likely got a Ferrari protesting that Max didn't slow down enough, etc. Not sure they chose to do a VSC because of that, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm still upset about Austin sprint. With those 7 and 6 points both guys would be 40+ points ahead with 4 races to go.

Great work by the team. Norris did a mega drive but this once again shows this really is "clear air" formula. Whoever can get clear air for a while will win.

Max made a great damage limitation drive, good job.

Piastri was too cautious and needs to realize he won't win this championship by being hesitant. He needs to be aggressive in overtaking, especially against uninvolved people. They know you have a faster car, they know they will be overtaken, just pull the trigger and make them decide whether they want to crash. This is what Verstappen does and it is why he can slice through the field.

Now let's go and dominate in Brazil to crush WDC dreams of Red Bull.
Where Oscar's pace has gone these last 4 weekends is a mystery. I think his drive today was okay and more aggression would have been too risky, but the straight line and DRS speed is still an issue for McLaren. Piastri would be well in the DRS and gain a tenth - not what DRS was supposed to do.

A joke was the 10seconds penalty to Hamilton. Others are cutting 3 corners and nothing happened, after that same driver is pushing George out of track and all he gets is "noted" by stewards. Maybe they are still looking for the notes. Pathetic!

On our side supper happy with Lando form and also Oscar gave some signs of life.
And most important, with same bla bla that Max will win all the races, for him will not be enough for the 5th if Lando or Oscar will be P2. So let's enjoy the final races and not to make plans, cause my self at least, learned the lesson of last year Brazil.

Was the decision to start Max on mediums a master stroke, given Lando clearly had only himself to beat? When you defend as well as Max does, using the more durable tyre when the fuel load is high is theoretically optimum. The speed he came through on the softs was surprisingly good relative to the Ferraris and Mercs. McLaren strategy given they started P1 and P7 was limp to say the least.

What a race by NOR, superb weekend for him and Mclaren in some sense, as we are back with a win after difficult 4-5 races. I expected more from PIA today, but I guess his slow start put him on the back foot and then the DRS train against the Mercs did not help as well.

Lando needed that today, fantastic execution this weekend throughout.

I still think this championship is going down to the wire though. Brazil anything can happen as max can be magic there and vegas can be very bad points swing against both our drivers. Those two races could easily see max gain around 22-25pts and then its all to play for in the last 2 rounds.

What do you think Las Vegas will be as difficult for us as it was last year? Our car has changed a lot
Brazil and Abu Dabi are Mclaren territory (on paper as per car spec) so unless something diabolical happens, NOR or PIA will be F1 drivers champion this year.

If Max wins all 4 races to go including the sprint, and NOR or PIA finish 2nd every time, they are still champions at the end, so let's stay positive boys, ''We will win again'' - Ron Dennis.

Someone talked about rain in Brazil. If it rains expect the two Mclaren drivers to dominate. They haven't lost a rain race this year. Just to let you know.

Norris was very impressive this weekend. The pace was disgusting.

Mighty good wasn't it? I just don't see Norris losing this WDC, he is doing so good, even after that painful DNF in Zandvoort, he keeps pushing.

I don't see it either. The problem for Piastri is that Norris is never slow. There will never be a day that Oscar puts 30 seconds of raw pace on Lando. This looks like the 2023 pace deficit.

I don't think Oscar is handling this well. Everyone week he keeps saying the pace is "good", the "pace is there". Is the pace in the room with us? He's in denial.

For 7-9 November the forecast is dry and 30 degrees air temperature.

Exactly. Maybe at worst Norris will get a P2 or something, but chances are slim he will be behind Piastri. Even disregarding current form of him and Piastri, the coming tracks suit him him better anyway. Vegas might hurt, but it will hurt both drivers. Even if Verstappen wins then, I'm pretty sure Norris will get atleast one win in as well.
