What do you think Las Vegas will be as difficult for us as it was last year? Our car has changed a lot
Brazil and Abu Dabi are Mclaren territory (on paper as per car spec) so unless something diabolical happens, NOR or PIA will be F1 drivers champion this year.

If Max wins all 4 races to go including the sprint, and NOR or PIA finish 2nd every time, they are still champions at the end, so let's stay positive boys, ''We will win again'' - Ron Dennis.

Someone talked about rain in Brazil. If it rains expect the two Mclaren drivers to dominate. They haven't lost a rain race this year. Just to let you know.

Norris was very impressive this weekend. The pace was disgusting.

I keep thinking the same every time I read it but I just didn’t say anything in case I jinx it!
Just a fan's point of view

Mighty good wasn't it? I just don't see Norris losing this WDC, he is doing so good, even after that painful DNF in Zandvoort, he keeps pushing.

I don't see it either. The problem for Piastri is that Norris is never slow. There will never be a day that Oscar puts 30 seconds of raw pace on Lando. This looks like the 2023 pace deficit.

I don't think Oscar is handling this well. Everyone week he keeps saying the pace is "good", the "pace is there". Is the pace in the room with us? He's in denial.

For 7-9 November the forecast is dry and 30 degrees air temperature.

Exactly. Maybe at worst Norris will get a P2 or something, but chances are slim he will be behind Piastri. Even disregarding current form of him and Piastri, the coming tracks suit him him better anyway. Vegas might hurt, but it will hurt both drivers. Even if Verstappen wins then, I'm pretty sure Norris will get atleast one win in as well.

So that is 40 at track temperature. Which is great for Mclaren.

Whenever I have had things to say against Lando it has always been about inconsistencies and his mellow way of racing. He is so risk-averse, even in situations where he could have had so much more. It kind of plays with your nerves a bit when you know that the car is good enough to do more sometimes. I think Lando would have never been as aggressive as Max was today for example, if he was in his position.

But pure pace alone, I have always defended the guy. On a good day, when everything goes his way, Lando is a force to be reckoned with. He just needs to make those good days a little bit more common.

That sums it up nicely. Both one lap pace and race pace are very good for Norris, it's just a lack of consistency from time to time and he doesnt always deliver his own best in qualifying which hurts him in the race. But if he takes WDC he fully deserved it this year. Ive see worse drivers take it!

Not sure if it was discussed here but you think that pitting Piastri onto softs to get past the Ant was a mistake when they saw Ant pitting ? Should they have done the opposite of Ant? McLaren is trying to keep Max behind, they're not really racing Merc.

I think you aren't allowed to bring your pitcrew out into the pitlane if you don't intend to pit. So they made the call to box but Mercedes also boxed.

I can think of half a dozen times merc faked pit stops by sending the crew out.
